Dear Confrere et Consoeurs:
Come one, come all, to our second Chaine Non Bastille Day Bastille Day
Extravaganza. Bring friends, bring guests. No one will be turned away!!!
And who is hosting this extravaganza? None other than
· Maitre de Table and Baum Vivant owner Tony Pais, AND
· Maitre Grillardin and Laforet owner Michael Uricchio!
Let me tell you, the only burgers that will be at this gala will be Pittsburghers.
We will have wonderful hors d' oeuvres, we will have lamb chops, we will
have soft shell crabs, we will have wonderful desserts, and a lot more
than we can tell you here. We will have wines from France, Portugal, California,
Spain and Australia. We will have beer from all over the world. So come
prepared to enjoy a spectacular afternoon of foods, wines, fun, and surprises.
Come and join us at The Rose Barn in North Park (Map enclosed) on Sunday,
July 11, 1999 from 1:00 PM til 6:00 PM. This will be a very casual event,
with no decorations. May I please have your reservations by July 2. Address
them to my attention to avoid any post office confusion. The cost is seventy
dollars ($70.00) per person per member couple, and seventy five dollars
($75.00) per guest.
The Rose Barn is a real building with real bathrooms and plenty of space
(capacity of 250) if we get some rain. So be prepared to enjoy the outstanding
foods, wines, and camaraderie. If you feel ambitious, enjoy the amenities
of North Park:
· Tennis & Paddle boats
· Golf & Platform tennis
· Cycling & Walking
Vice Charge de Missions Herb Sperling will even bring his Bocce Balls.
This is going to be a lot of fun, so don't wait to respond. If there
are any questions, contact me. Otherwise, see you at the Rose Barn at
North Park!
Vive la Chaine!
