A Chaine friend and G.M. of The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel called earlier this year. He said some resort in Western PA lured away one of his best guys, Michael King. Then the new VP and General Manager of Nemacolin Woodlands calls. He introduces himself as Chaine member and officer, Vice Chancelier Argentier Michael King. This is getting good, since the folks at Nemacolin Woodlands really know how to throw a party.

I am pleased to announce our next Chaine gala, a celebration of fine foods and fine wines. This very special gala will be held at Nemacolin Woodlands. Plan on arriving at Rodef Shalom's parking lot at 4905 Fifth Ave. in Oakland, Morewood Ave. side. We will depart by luxury motor coach on Sunday, July 12 1998 at 3:15 p.m. Do not be late as we will leave on time.

Michael King, Chef Rotisseur and Nemacolin Executive Chef Todd Rogers, and Nemacolin's F & B Director Jim Oliver are pulling out all of the stops. When you line up this trio of Ritz Carlton veterans, their culinary accomplishments, and their Chaine Gala experiences, it wouldn't fit on the page. So, come prepared to experience a spectacular evening of foods, wines, and surprises. They are flat out planning on impressing us!

This will be a black tie event, with decorations in order. May I please have your reservations by June 27. Address them to my attention to avoid any post office confusion. The cost is one hundred twenty seven dollars ($127.00) per person per member couple, and one hundred thirty seven dollars ($137.00) per guest. Guests will be accommodated on a space available basis. Normal cancellation policies will apply. However after June 27, the "bus fare" is non refundable.
