Maitre Rotisseur/Executive Chef Stephen Varela
Executive/Maitre Rotisseurs Chef Stephen Varela was born and raised in El Paso, TX. Growing up, Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine, was a daily occurrence, in his household. Chef Varela moved to Pittsburgh, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree, with honors, from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He was a part of several culinary brigades, in country clubs, such as The Pittsburgh Golf Club, Chartiers Country Club, and Fox Chapel Golf Club, where he worked alongside great chefs. Chef Varela, in 2017, joined Valley Brook Country Club, as its Executive Chef. He is a member of the ACF and Chaine des Rotisseurs and serves on the Advisory Board for Parkway West CTC. Chef Varela has contributed and offers his talent, to many non-profit organization, including the upcoming, “Gathering of Chefs”, that supports the Bradley Center.
